Foresters’ Fund for Children 23 July 2008

The Foresters’ Fund for Children uniquely helps others to help children by giving grants primarily to the small, local children’s charities throughout the UK that urgently need help but find it difficult to compete for funds with larger charities. Grants made by The Fund are sometimes the difference between the ability of these charities to continue and closure. Over the years, The Fund has helped over 500,000 children. Individual and small business support means support for more vulnerable children.

When FFFC was approached by Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids' Clubs, asking for support for these very local childcare Clubs throughout Wales, we believed that both the need and the services they provide were very great indeed and made, what was for us, a large commitment (to date, in the last year, we have given grants totalling £9040) to help them keep going.

It is Clubs like these, on the ground and in the local communities that are the last bastion of hope. We are proud of them and delighted that we could play a part in something so positive.
