Awareness Days

Are you celebrating International Volunteer Day this week?

The 5th of December is a day that we commit to ensuring our volunteers know how they make all the difference to our clubs. Showing appreciation to all your club volunteers is a critical part of making them feel that they’re having an impact on these children’s experiences.

We really appreciate the role of all the volunteers that support the Out of School Childcare Clubs, especially our very own board of  trustees who provide their time to support the work we do at Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs, enabling our team to be there for the Out of School Childcare Sector.  Thank you to all volunteers we really do appreciate all you do.

Bodhi Day is the Buddhist holiday that commemorates the day that Gautama Buddha (Shakyamuni) is said to have attained enlightenment, also known as bodhi in Sanskrit and Pali. According to tradition, Siddhartha had recently forsaken years of extreme ascetic practices and resolved to sit under a peepal tree, also known as a Bodhi tree and simply meditate until he found the root of suffering, and how to liberate oneself from it. This is celebrated on the 8th of December.
