Coalfields Community Grant Programme (Wales)
The Coalfields Community Grant Programme has invested over £20 million in community and voluntary sector projects since 1999, targeting communities most in need. We provide grants (from £500 – £7,000 revenue or capital) to community organisations to support projects in Welsh coalfield communities that create jobs, increase skills, improve health & well-being, broaden childcare provision or develop community facilities. A Wales Grant Assessment Panel meets quarterly.

Projects must be based in an eligible coalfield community or be able to show clear and immediate benefits for an eligible coalfield community. Projects must benefit the wider community. Please note only certain wards within the Local Authorities listed below are eligible:

• Blaenau Gwent
• Bridgend
• Caerphilly
• Carmarthenshire
• Merthyr Tydfil
• Neath Port Talbot
• Powys
• Rhondda Cynon Taff
• Torfaen
• Swansea
• Wrexham
