Playworker– Clwb Ilar, Ceredigion

Weekly contracted hours: 2 and a quarter hours per week, core hours 3.30 – 5.45, worked on Wednesdays during the term only. Possibility of additional 2 and a quarter extra hours on Thursday evenings 3.30 – 5.45pm.

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Working days: Wednesday

Diploma / experience:

Level 2 Diploma in Playwork

Level 2 in Playwork Principles into Practice

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this position.

Description of duties:

Contribute to a rich, flexible and stimulating play environment where the children can play freely.

Helping to plan the play, including, activities, preparing the space surrounding the resources, which will fulfill their individual play.

Build effective and honest relationships with the children and young people, their parents/carers.

Follow the club’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour, emergency procedures and confidentiaity, as approved by the registering authority.

Participation in reviewing and reflecting on the policies and procedures in place.

Administer first aid as applicable.

Provide appropriate supervision of al the children and young people throughout the session.

Ensure that the children and young people are collected by parents / carers,  working within the guidelines of the policy.

Contribute to providing and preparing various kinds of food choices for the children and young people.

And any appropriate duties for the post of Senior Play Worker.
