We are now accepting applications for our Extra Hands or Assisted Places grant applications in Newport.
Please note that due to the terms and conditions of the grants, payments cannot be back dated. However, pending successful outcome of the application, grants can be awarded from the date at which forms and supporting evidence are received in our office.
Extra Hands Grants
Do you have a child attending (or wanting to attend) your Breakfast, After School or Holiday Club that has an additional need or would benefit from the support of a member of staff working with them on a 1-2-1 basis? If so then an Extra Hands Grant could assist you in providing this support. A grant can be applied for through Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs which will help to cover the costs of employing the staff member for the hours they work with a child on a 1-2-1 basis.
As per the terms and conditions, the member of staff would be employed by your organisation and MUST NOT be included in your staff:child ratios. An application can be made for the full year and the grant will be paid in instalments subject to receipt of satisfactory half termly monitoring.
Assisted Places Grants
Are you aware of:
If so, Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs manages an Assisted Places Grant scheme, whereby families are able to apply for the sessional costs of attending a Breakfast, After School or Holiday Club (up to a maximum fee). This scheme supports vulnerable families through providing equality of opportunity, whilst supporting out of school childcare clubs by increasing attendance. Applications must be made on a termly basis and the grant will be paid in instalments subject to receipt of satisfactory half termly monitoring.
Full details of both schemes, along with the terms and conditions, can be found on the attached application forms.
Please read the covering letter of the Application Forms as the grants’ terms and conditions have changed for this financial year.
Please note that we are only able to approve funding applications to the end of March 2020.
