The Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services has written to all Childcare Providers to outline the importance of the vital services you provide, linking to relevant guidance, outlining the reinstatement of the Childcare Offer and highlighting information about the Childcare Provider Grant which will offer dedicated funding for the childcare sector to help ensure more providers re-open as the schools return in September. The grant is available to Childcare Settings who have been unable to access other business support schemes offered by the UK and Welsh Governments and most providers will be eligible for a one-off grant of £2,500 to meet costs such as rent, utilities and unmet wages.
Further information about the Childcare Provider Grant can be found within a written statement from Julie Morgan MS, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services, and Jane Hutt MS, Deputy Minister and Chief Whip. https://gov.wales/written-statement-childcare-providers-grant
