Becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

During the Covid 19 pandemic have you found it difficult to access grants for your club?

Is your Out of School Childcare Club based in a community, supporting parents to access work or training, whilst the club takes care of their children?

Has your club or your Management Committee thought about strengthening their processes and procedures?

If the answer is ‘Yes’ to any of the above then you need to think about ‘Becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation’ (CIO).

What are the benefits to the club of

 ‘Becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation’?

  • As a registered charity, the club will have more opportunities to access grants.
  • Committee members are protected.  As it is incorporated, the individuals involved are not exposed to the possibility of having to meet any liabilities personally if it fails (except in instances of their own serious wrongdoing).
  • Enhanced reputation as it is regulated by the Charity Commission.
  • Easier to recruit committee members as this model better protects them.

Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs will support and guide you through every step of the way.
