Please see the message below which has issued to Education Directors and Unions. These tools are primarily about schools, but have some relevance to childcare as well.
A potential change in parental behaviours has been a cause for concern with 3 – 7 years olds returning for face to face lessons at the start of next week. We are keen to ensure that there are clear and consistent messages to parents highlighting behaviours that need to be followed to keep schools and childcare open for their children.
Lessons learnt from focus groups with parents have informed development of a series of messages and assets to help communicate with parents/carers.
We have set up a new Keep Wales Safe education asset bank page for you to use (which will also include assets from PHW). All content can be used in your communication channels – website, newsletter, social media, texting, WhatsAPPetc. – please share with schools for them to use in their communication with parents.
Here’s a link to the assets
Assets will be added next week in Polish and Portugese – which has been specifically requested. If you require other language assets please let us know.
If you wish to replace the Welsh Government logo with your local authority logo please supply a white EPS version to email@example.com. Also specify the asset number you wish to be changed.
We will be featuring these assets across our Welsh Government channels together with a paid for campaign to reach more parents and looking to undertake PR activity with parental influencers over the next few weeks.
If you have any questions or suggestions of assets you would find useful, please get in touch with Jacqui.firstname.lastname@example.org
