Registration with Care Inspectorate Wales has a multitude of benefits for Out of School Childcare Clubs and for the children and families you provide care for (https://www.clybiauplantcymru.org/news-more.asp?nid=502). Following the launch of online registration earlier in 2020, this process has also been streamlined, creating a far less onerous task for childcare businesses.
Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs has filmed a brief 16 minute video to show you around the online process to support you to familiarise yourself with the steps involved (you can see a clip of this below). You can send a request to access the full video (which is available in English and Welsh) to email@example.com.
Please note, Care Inspectorate Wales has recently made a number of online enhancements to the registration process that are not displayed in the English medium video, due to coming into place after the recording was made. These include changes to the landing page (so this will now look different) and home page, meaning that the ‘Start Application’ button is now lower on the page. The Welsh medium video was filmed after these changes came into place, and so has the current landing page, home page and placing of the ‘Start Application’ button.
As part of our 3-year National Lottery Community Fund People and Places Project and within counties in which we are funded by the Local Authority, our Childcare Business Development Officers are able to support new and existing Out of School Childcare Providers through the registration process. We would love to support your Club through this process and welcome you to get in contact with your Regional Office to discuss this further, particularly if you feel that there are still barriers for you that need to be addressed.
