June 18 – 25, 2022 – Water Safety Week
Water Safety Week, which is also known as Drowning Prevention Week, is a summer water safety campaign across the UK and Ireland that happens every year. In 2022, this campaign will run from the 18th to the 25th of June. The main goal of Water Safety Week is to teach people the necessary skills and knowledge that they need to be safe and have fun in the water.
June 21, 2022 – First Day of Summer! (Summer Solstice)
The Longest Day (Summer Solstice) is observed on either June 20, 21, or 22, but this year, it falls on June 21. The timing shifts because it depends on when the Sun reaches its northernmost point from the celestial equator. However, it signifies the beginning of the sunny summer season. It’s not too late to begin plans for outdoor activities to enjoy the sun while you can.
June 24, 2022 – National Cream Tea Day
National Cream Tea Day is celebrated on the last Friday of June and takes place on June 24 this year. The founders of National Cream Tea Day are Rodda’s Clotted Cream and Tiptree.
