Vote for Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids' Clubs!
Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs has been successful in having two applications for funding for an exciting new Project go through to the public voting stage for the Tesco Centenary Fund. All Tesco stores across South East Wales, Mid and West Wales will feature a voting area for the Centenary Fund, where shoppers can choose between 3 Projects to determine the level of funding received for each project. We are currently awaiting the outcome of our North Wales application, which will allow us to have a National reach within the Project.
The project will improve children’s health and well-being across the South East, Mid and West Wales Regions through healthy food growing and preparation activities using a practical and community approach that is fun and rewarding.
We would develop a ‘Grow Your Own Feast’ initiative involving Out of School Childcare Clubs (offering high quality care for children aged 3-14years), volunteers, families and the wider community. Children will be outdoors, growing, harvesting and cooking their own nutritional feast, learning a wide range of new skills from older, experienced volunteers, as well as promoting mental health and wellbeing for all involved. Fun interactive resources and sessions will build children and Playworkers’ confidence and knowledge to make healthy food choices of their own.
How can you help?
