From September 2021 ALL registered Out of School childcare settings working with children over 8 will need Playwork qualified staff – CIW.
Apprenticeships in Wales are a way to earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.
If you are employed 16 hours a week or more in registered setting you may qualify for a fully funded work based apprenticeship.
If eligible you could receive funding of:
£4,840 worth of training at Level 3
£3,500 worth of training at Level 2

British Science Week is an annual 10 day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and is an opportunity for a host of organisations, clubs, groups and schools to engage in STEM events and activities.
Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs is pleased to have been awarded funding of £1,000 from The Earnest Cook Trust for a ‘Grow Your Own Feast’ resource for clubs.
Healthy Kids Initiative project intends to deliver 6 Workshops in 3 Out Of School Clubs in Conwy, including 2 ‘Buddying’ in club workshops and 2 ‘Games Galore’ in club workshops.
This project will engage children in Renewable Energy workshops and in the development and piloting of new STEM based activities.
Working with 8 clubs in deprived areas of Wales to pilot activities, we will give £50 to each Club involved, and support them to make their money grow, using budgeting tools and fundraising ideas.
