QUALIFY IN PLAYWORK
From September 2021 ALL registered Out of School childcare settings working with children over 8 will need Playwork qualified staff – CIW.
Apprenticeships in Wales are a way to earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.
If you are employed 16 hours a week or more in registered setting you may qualify for a fully funded work based apprenticeship.
If eligible you could receive funding of:
£4,840 worth of training at Level 3
£3,500 worth of training at Level 2
Commitment from YOU:
Attend weekly or monthly sessions with an approved Playwork trainer
Commitment to learn and apply Playwork principles
Complete Work Based evidence and assignment work
YOU will get:
A CIW accepted qualification in Playwork from CACHE also Essential Skills Wales qualifications
Designated trainer and assessor
Weekly lessons with trainer, course materials and latest Playwork theories
Monthly visits at workplace
Commitment from Employer:
Support you in applying learning in the workplace
Be released for classroom sessions
Join in monthly visits / progress meetings
