A new Chair for Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs

We are very pleased to announce that Esyllt Lord has been appointed as our new Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Esyllt comes from West Wales but has lived in Cardiff for over 30 years since studying at university there. Esyllt has worked for the National Museum Wales, Chapter and numerous arts organisations and companies, before switching to working with children around 18 years ago. She has been running Cymer Ofal, with her business partner Rebecca Gibbs, offering Welsh Medium Out of School Childcare Clubs in Cardiff since 2012.

Esyllt has served on our Board over the last 12 months and has learned a lot about the organisation. We are so pleased that she has taken up the challenge of steering us through new opportunities over the next period to help us continue to pursue our vision for Wales where children play, and communities prosper.

Esyllt said “Working with children and playworkers is always wonderful and expanding the opportunities for children to play in Wales is so important. I am really excited to start as Chair of such a vital and positive organisation as Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs.”

We are looking forward to working with Esyllt to drive forward our strategic goals and to help us realise our vision where Wales is a place where children play, and communities prosper.

Esyllt takes over from Sam Maitland Price who has served as Chair for the last 12 months. Thanks go to the work Sam has done to support us over this period.

Sam said “I wish Esyllt the best of luck on her new venture as chair. I’m sure she will continue the hard work and strong voice for sector as we support her to do so.”
