Burns Night 2023 – January 25  

Burns Night is annually celebrated in Scotland on or around January 25. It commemorates the life and work of the bard (poet) 

National Storytelling Week 2023 – January 28 – February 5  

National Storytelling Week takes place in storytelling clubs, theatres, museums, schools, hospitals, spoken word venues, and care homes (where this event has been steadily growing each year!)   

Where ever the events take place, the web of stories will be spun with sufficient magic between the breath of the teller and the ear of the listener. 

Saint Dwynwen’s Day – January 25, 2022  

St Dwynwen’s Day or Dydd Santes Dwynwen in Welsh is considered to be the Welsh equivalent to Valentine’s Day.   

This annual event celebrates the Welsh saint of lovers, Dwynwen. Just like the widely known version of Valentine’s Day, St Dwynwen’s Day is the most romantic day of the year in the Welsh calendar. Find out more here
