Plastic Free July
Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Will you be part of Plastic Free July by choosing to refuse single-use plastics?
Plastic Free July provides resources and ideas to help you (and millions of others around the world) reduce single-use plastic waste every day at home, work, school, and even at your local café.

July 7, 2023 – World Chocolate Day
Some like it dark and bitter, others smooth and sweet, but no matter what your flavour preference this World Chocolate Day, on July 7, join us in taking a bite. Whether it’s used to coat other candies and nuts, melted over fruit, or shaven over a gourmet dessert, chocolate always hits the spot. Although chocolates are recognized as fattening, amazingly they can also aid weight loss and help maintain weight if consumed moderately.
July is National Picnic Month
When the weather gets warmer and the rains of spring have abated, the outdoors are beckoning all those adventurous families who are out to have fun in the sun. Local parks have finally come out from under the pall of cloud gray skies, and picnics can begin in earnest!
Picnic month is exceptionally easy to celebrate! You just have to get outside into the world and enjoy all the wonderful sights and smells it has to offer. Get your family and friends together at a favourite nearby park and bring your favourite foods that can be eaten cold for a traditional picnic, or bring a small grill and prepare warm delicious food on the spot!
