How clubs can help children’s financial knowledge
Wales Online has reported on research from TransUnion that states that children are leaving home without basic financial knowledge e.g. knowing how to budget and save.
While playwork settings should always focus on freely chosen play opportunities, perhaps there are some activities that you could offer within your club to support this? We previously ran a ‘Money FUNdamentals’ project, funded through Santander, where children were engaged to plan, budget, market and run their own fundraising events. Could you do something similar in your club?
