World Children’s Day,  is a day that recognises, promotes and celebrates children’s rights, improving children’s welfare and taking action to make the world a better place for children to live in. November 20th 1959 saw the United Nations General Assembly adopt the Declarations of the Rights of the Child, and on the same date 30 years later in 1989, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child otherwise known as the UNCRC.
