Are term time workers eligible for holiday pay?

Almost all people classed as workers are legally entitled to 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday a year (known as statutory leave entitlement or annual leave).

This includes:

  • agency workers
  • workers with irregular hours
  • workers on zero-hours contracts

Part-time (term-time) workers are entitled to holiday pay by law, but it is at a pro-rata rate – find out more here
