Mothering Sunday 19th of March 2023

This Sunday is Mothering Sunday (Mother’s Day). A little known fact is that this day is celebrated in the UK on the 4th Sunday of Lent, and it’s origins are religious rather than anything ‘maternal’. It was a day for everyone to attend their closest church (the Mother Church), but as time went off people would use this day off to spend time with their families, including their mothers. Today Mothering Sunday is a day to celebrate our mothers and grandmothers and appreciate all they’ve done and do for us.

Red Nose Day Friday 17th of March 2023

This Friday is Red Nose Day. It is a day to come together and fundraise with plenty of comedy and is organised by Comic Relief. The money raised goes to help many projects from supporting local food banks across the UK to supporting sports for women in Rwanda. Visit the website for ideas on how you can get involved this Friday and help fundraise.
