Loose parts, creating an affordable resource bank for your club

Utilising loose parts within your club is a great way of building fun, creative and engaging opportunities for children’s play.  Having a bank of resources can be achieved affordably through a donation to your setting.

  • Store a box within your entrance so that parents/carers can donate loose parts or recyclable items that are safe and fun for children in their play. This will keep your loose parts resources varied as well as saving upon your club resources budget.
  • Provide lists of items that you have risk assessed for your setting and update this regularly.

See the resource from Creative star learning for ideas of how you can look at loose parts for your setting.
