Moondance Foundation

We are pleased to announce our new collaboration with the Moondance Foundation to support our sector to survive and thrive in Wales post Pandemic. With funding received from the Moondance Foundation, we are now able to offer grants to support/sustain existing clubs and to develop new clubs and places, tailored specifically for Out of School Childcare settings across Wales.

We currently have a limited number of grants available at £1,500 each to support the sustainability of settings and £3,500 to support new clubs in development.

Grants will be awarding on a rolling basis until the funding has been allocated. Contact membership@clybiauplantcymru.orgfor more details.

Guidelines:

Applications will be judged according to the grant objectives and against other applications.

The maximum grant awarded will be £1,500.

Funding cannot be awarded retrospectively.

This grant is for sustainability of good quality childcare provision. It is a condition that it is not to be used to sustain profit margins.

Applicants must not be in receipt of Moondance Foundation funding with the last 12 months

Clubs registered with Care Inspectorate Wales or those registering within 12 months will be prioritised.

Applicants must complete an Out of School Childcare Assessment and commit to agreed actions supporting future development and sustainability.

Funded Places Grant for Out of School Childcare Clubs

Through support from The Moondance Foundation, an opportunity has arisen to offer Funded Childcare Places grants to Out of School Childcare Clubs.

Funding is now available from 04/09/2023 through to 22/12/2023 to allow children not normally able to attend provision and who would benefit from play opportunities outside of the school day, supporting social engagement and mental wellbeing.

CIW registered Out of School Childcare Clubs who are members of Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs, and interested in offering funded places, should contact their regional Childcare Business Development Officer.
