In the Summer of 2022, Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs were successful in receiving some funding through the Summer of Fun to hold 3 events across Wales, where we:

• Promoted the importance of play for children
• Championed the Out of School Childcare Sector and encouraging families to seek out and use their local clubs
• Demonstrated the types of fun activities that are typically on offer within Out of School Childcare Clubs using loose parts, element-based play and a variety of play types
• Encouraged more adults to consider playwork as a career option through observing Playworkers on the day
• Hosted 2 sessions within each event for approximately 125 children at each and their families

Lots of fun was had by staff, volunteers and attendees and we hope to hold more events promoting the value of play and the Out of School Childcare sector in the future!
