The Postcode Community Trust is a fund to support smaller organisations and good causes in Wales. Grants range from £500 to £20,000.

Organisations can apply for funding for projects or for essential running costs, such as utilities and renovation.

Christmas Challenge 2023

Yes, it’s that time of year already. Christmas Challenge 2023 and applications are now open! The Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest digital match funding campaign. The Christmas Challenge gives your donors the chance to double their donations as you raise vital funds for your work.

This year it will run from midday Tuesday 28th November to midday Tuesday 5th December.

Last year, the Christmas Challenge raised a record-breaking £28.6m for over 1000 charities!

Applications for this year’s campaign open on Monday 15th May and close on Friday 7th July.

To apply for Christmas Challenge 2023:

  1. Log in or sign up for Big Give account
  2. Click on Big Give Campaigns
  3. Click on Apply now for Christmas Challenge 2023 when the applications open on Monday 15th May.

The deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 7th July. We strongly encourage charities to submit their applications as early as possible and not to leave it to the last minute. For more information, the eligibility criteria, and to apply, visit the Christmas Challenge page on the Big Give website.


Peoples Health Trust Funding
Local groups and organisations with great ideas to make their communities even better places to live are invited to apply for funding.

Active Communities is a funding programme for community groups and not-for-profit organisations, with an income of less than £350,000 a year or an average of £350,000 over two years.

We are currently open in Health Lottery Wales in parts of:

  • Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Torfaen and Vale of Glamorgan.

Applications will close on Wednesday 7 June at 1pm.
