Funding Opportunties

We are delighted to share with you some funding opportunities.  Don’t forget that we can support you in completing applications, so please get in touch if you need our help!

When applying for any funding or grant, consider the following five points:

  1. Read through the conditions of the funding or grant, do you meet the terms and objectives of the grant?
  2. Consider calling the funder to ask questions or talk through the project, look at who or what they have funded previously.
  3. That the project aims are clear and meet the objectives of the grant or funding
  4. That you can provide all the information requested of the funder; quotes, accounts, feedback from service users, insurance etc
  5. That you put aside time to complete the application and engage others in the process.

The Leathersellers’ Small Grants Programme 2023-24 will consider applications from charities and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) registered and operating in the UK. We will not consider applications from Community Interest Companies (CICs).

To apply, charities and CIOs must meet the following criteria:

  • Operate in a geographical area of deprivation in the UK. We recognise all relative measures of deprivation as tracked by the Indices of Deprivation or similar tools. We find the map tool provided by the CDRC very helpful.
  • Deliver activities to meet an identified need for vulnerable members of the community
  • Have a planned expenditure of under £200,000 in 2023/24
